Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Infotech Solutions collects, why we collect it, where we keep it, and how you can have it corrected or deleted. It applies to our shop, our website, our WhatsApp business number and the service and delivery work we do for customers.

1. What we collect

• Contact details — your name, mobile number, WhatsApp number, email and delivery address.
• Order and billing information — what you bought, invoice and payment records, GST details where you supply them.
• Service records — product model and serial number, the fault reported, repair status and photographs of the product.
• Messages you send us — the content of WhatsApp messages, including any photographs or documents you attach, and the phone number they came from.
• Website usage — basic technical information such as pages viewed, needed to keep the site working and secure.

We do not ask for and do not want your card numbers, UPI PIN, bank passwords or OTPs. No member of our staff will ever ask you for an OTP.

2. Why we use it

• To supply what you ordered and to raise a valid tax invoice.
• To carry out repairs and warranty claims, and to tell you when the work is done.
• To answer your questions on WhatsApp, phone or email.
• To send you updates about your own order or service ticket.
• To meet obligations under tax, GST and company law.

3. WhatsApp

We use the WhatsApp Business Platform, which is operated by Meta. When you message our business number, or when we message you, that message passes through Meta's servers. This is how WhatsApp works and it applies to every business on WhatsApp — it is outside our control, and Meta's own privacy terms apply to that leg of the journey.

Once a message reaches us, we store it — including any photo or file you send — on our own servers, located in India, so that our team can act on it.

4. Where your information is kept

Our systems and backups are hosted on servers located in India. We do not move customer records to servers outside India. The one exception, described in section 3, is WhatsApp message delivery itself, which necessarily passes through Meta.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade contact lists. We share only what is necessary, and only with:

• Meta, for delivering WhatsApp messages (section 3).
• Courier and transport partners, to deliver goods to your address.
• Manufacturers and authorised service centres, when your product must be sent for warranty repair.
• Our accountants, and government departments where the law requires it.

6. How long we keep it

• Invoices and tax records — for as long as Indian tax and GST law requires. We cannot delete these on request.
• Service tickets — for the warranty period and a reasonable time after, so repeat faults can be traced.
• WhatsApp messages and attachments — while they are needed to serve you, and then removed.
• Enquiries that never became orders — removed once they are no longer of use.

7. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, delete it, or withdraw a consent you previously gave. Write to contact@infotech.net.in or visit the shop.

8. Children

Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Security

Access to customer records is limited to staff who need it for their work, connections to our systems are encrypted, and we keep regular backups. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects your information we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on our website.
